Pina Bausch Foundation

The foundation collects archive materials related to Pina Bausch’s work and holds the rights to her choreography, scenography and costumes by Rolf Borzik.

The Pina Bausch Foundation – in 2009, after the death of Pina Bausch, a famous German choregrapher and creator of the modern dance theatre, her son Salomon, started a foundation named after his mother and based in Wuppertal with the aim of  protecting her artistic legacy. The foundation collects archive materials related to Pina Bausch’s work and holds the rights to her choreography, scenography and costumes by Rolf Borzik. It also develops projects aimed at popularization of Pina Bausch’s art including NELKEN-line, which travels all over the world and is targeted directly at the audience members.
